Esquire back to basics

Let’s take a look at Esquire’s last three issues, which ran as a series. With photography by Max Vadukul and all three cover stories written by Tom Junod.

YES! Bravo Esquire. Thank you for this breath of fresh air from all the crap we’ve been seeing everywhere else. Thank you for choosing this amazing photographer and thank you for these absolutely beautiful covers. Now I won’t get into the layouts because the print design (versus iPad) has been  a bit of an eyesore lately and a lot of things aren’t working, such as the drop caps and the quotes. But generally speaking these issues hold their own. I love the fact that they decided to run three issues as a series, that was a brilliant idea and it definitely made me want to come back for more.
